Alison Hammond has been flooded with support over how she dealt with a fat-shaming Cliff Richard remark. Cliff made the comment - which was widely slammed - on Monday's show, as Alison hosted the programme with Sarah Ferguson and Dermot O'Leary from 10am.

Cliff made the comment about Elvis Presley, saying he didn't want a snap with the late star due to him being overweight. Alison politely shut down the remark, saying he "shouldn't have", with Instagram fans flooding to support her underneath her post alongside the Duchess of York.

"Thanks @sarahferguson15 for editing and co-hosting with me and the incredible @dermotoleary on @thismorning. So nice to see your naughty side," Alison wrote. A fan replied: "I loved Sarah on the programme today she seemed quite nervous though." Jan said: "It was so lovely the duchess Sarah has joined the set of this morning alison xxxx."
