BBC Strictly Come Dancing's Janette Manrara flooded with support over poignant wish on 'special day'

Janette Manrara has been flooded with support as she celebrates her 40th birthday. The 40-year-old BBC Strictly Come Dancing It Takes Two host celebrated her milestone birthday with baby Lyra Rose, who she welcomed in the summer, and husband Aljaz Skorjanec too.

Janette wrote: "Yesterday was a very special day. Had all of my closest friends with me (even @carlasossi who flew over from the USA just to be there) my mother, my husband, and my beautiful Lyra. Wish I had my family from Miami there w/ me as well, but feeling grateful for all of life’s blessings. A day I will cherish forever.

"Thank you to @thenedlondon and @nathhunterpope for organising it fabulously, and to everyone who came to celebrate 40 w/ me." In reply, Sophie typed: "Happiest of birthdays!! Hope you had a fab one xx" Jane said: "Glad you had a fabulous day xx" Peter said: "Spitz of her daddy xxx"

"Happy 21st (with 19 years experience) @jmanrara Hope you had a great birthday and what a beautiful pic of your mum and Lyra x," Maz said. Tallulah said: "A really gorgeous day. Princess Lyra made it." Lesley said: "that 3rd photo are you kidding me!!" Ellie Taylor said: "Ah happy birthday lovely one! I got to see your Lyra the other day while you were on set - man she is PRECIOUSSSSSS. And your mama is xxxx"

"Beautiful photo of mummy and daddy and Lyra," said Nancy. Michelle typed: "Beautiful family." It comes after Aljaz, who hails from Slovenia, shared a bikini snap of the mum-of-one on his own Instagram Grid to celebrate. "We are so proud of you," Aljaž said. "You are an amazing mum and a beautiful wife.

"40 has never looked better – I'm so sorry, I shouldn't have said the age. But we can't wait to have you come home so we can give you a cuddle after you smash the show." Janette shared a clip to her Instagram page and wrote: "When you work with the best team in showbiz! Thank you to my @bbcstrictly #ItTakesTwo family for my cake and my surprise family messages!

"I never get to spend my birthday w/ them, so seeing their faces all the way from Miami, and especially Lyra and @aljazskorjanec, my heart was so full! 40 is proving to be quite special so far."
