ITV This Morning star Lisa Snowdon has hinted she could marry her long-term fiance. The fashion segment host, who regularly appears on the ITV daytime TV show, which airs Monday to Friday from 10am on ITV 1 and ITV X, has been engaged to fiancé George Smart since 2017.

The 51-year-old was previously due to marry George in 2020 but had to cancel their plans due to Covid restrictions and lockdown. She told New magazine at the time: “We don’t need to have that certificate to say we are officially married. We already feel like we are married, so I’m not in any kind of hurry.”

Speaking to Closer, Lisa has now said: “It’s not that we don’t want to, we just haven’t got the energy to do it. I’ve got the ring, we’ve got the commitment. I don’t think it would change anything, except I could call him my husband rather than my fiancé.” She added: “But if we’re in a country and we’re like: ‘The church is free and we can get married tomorrow,’ we might go for it!”

She told OK! earlier this year: “For my 50th he took me to Reykjavik in Iceland. George and I have been to Japan a few times together. We went years ago and ate blowfish sperm.” Lisa previously said she has made peace with the fact she is child-free - and has spoken candidly about how every time she was close to having kids - she was with the “wrong person”.

In 2015, aged 43 and single, "at the end of another destructive relationship”, she started cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT). She says: "I just knew I needed to make changes to myself. I needed to discover and like who I was in order to attract the right people." She added: “I feel narcissists have a really clever manipulative way of working into people’s lives and you don’t necessarily - they play a really good game.

“And it’s not until you’re involved that you’re a bit like, 'Oh, this isn’t the person I thought you were'. The behaviour becomes more controlling and, by that point, you know, you’re physically attractive, you’re physically connected. You feel like you’re in love and, you know, it’s mind games, and it’s a mess and so I needed to take a step away and just to re-evaluate what I was doing."
